1971 Schwinn Stingray Cotton Picker Krate Bicycle

This 1971 Schwinn Sting-Ray is a “Cotton Picker” Krate edition bicycle that reportedly remained in one family for 49 years until it was acquired by the seller circa 2020. Subsequent work included disassembling and cleaning the white cantilevered frame and assorted components. The bike features a white banana seat supported via a rear spring-loaded sissy bar, and a five-speed drivechain operated by an automotive-style Stik-Shift and a rear derailleur. Additional equipment includes wire-spoke wheels with chrome rims measuring 16″ up front and 20″ at the rear, a springer fork, a rear rim brake, a front drum, and a chrome high-rise handlebar with white grips. This “Cotton Picker” Krate bike is now offered in Carmel, Indiana.
