This 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 was acquired by the seller in 2024 and refurbished before it was imported to the US in 2025. Finished in beige over black upholstery, the truck is powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Details include a removable hardtop and a white roof as well as 16″ wheels, manually locking front hubs, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and a rear pintle hitch and tow ball. Inside, air conditioning, rear jump seats, power windows, and a Bluetooth-enabled sound system are fitted. This FJ40 is now offered with a clean South Carolina title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The seller notes that the shade of Toyota Beige (Code 464) was used for the repaint. The truck is equipped with a removable hardtop with a white roof along with side mirrors, rear ambulance-style doors, a rear-mounted spare tire, and a combination pintle hitch and tow ball.
This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in November 2025, and the sale was not completed due to an issue with the title, which has since been resolved.
The 16″ wheels are mounted with Limo Caucho Cordillera tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. The seller notes that the braking, suspension, and steering systems were overhauled.
The interior features front bucket seats and inward-facing rear jump seats trimmed in black. The sound system incorporates a Bluetooth module, amplifier, and Pioneer speakers. Components for the air conditioning and heating systems were replaced during the refurbishment work in addition to the seat upholstery, sound insulation, and carpets. Power windows have also been installed.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 10k kilometers (~6k miles). Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six is equipped with a single carburetor, and the seller notes that refurbishment work involved replacing the pistons, bearings, valves, and seals. Other replacement components include the wiring harness, alternator, radiator, and exhaust system.
The four-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case were also refreshed.
