This dark blue metallic 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler was refurbished before it was acquired by its current owner, who reports purchasing the vehicle in 2019 from Jeeps R Us of Laguna Beach, California. The truck features a roll cage over an open-air interior with three rows of seats, and it has power steering, 15″ Pro Comp wheels, 35″ BFG KO2’s, high-back front seats, and air conditioning. Power comes from a 258ci inline-six mated to a three-speed automatic. This CJ-8 is offered by the seller in California with an accident-free Carfax report and an Arizona title.
The Scrambler was introduced as a long-wheelbase pickup version of the CJ-7 for the 1981 model year. This one is refinished in dark blue metallic, and it has a body-colored grille, full metal doors, and tubular bumpers.
The ride height is lifted over the 35×12.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, which are mounted on 15″ Pro Comp alloy wheels. BDS shock absorbers are noted, and vacuum-assisted front disc brakes are paired with rear drums for stopping power.
Beneath a body-colored roll cage, the cabin has tan vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, high-back bucket seats, a Tuffy center console, and two rows of rear benches.
A color-keyed steering wheel fronts the dashboard, which has a tachometer and a quartz clock. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles, ~1k of which were added under current ownership. A potential odometer rollover is listed in a 1996 entry on the Carfax report, which states that an Exceeds Mechanical Limits title was issued for the vehicle in 2003, and total mileage is unknown.
The 258ci inline-six sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Entries on the Carfax report state that the power steering pump, heater core, thermostat, and valve cover gasket were replaced in 2023. The seller adds that the water pump and radiator were replaced along with coolant hoses in November 2025. They also note some fluid leaks. The truck has not passed a California emissions test since 2020.
