I type a lot. Between drafting my articles, writing emails, taking notes, and endless back-and-forth WhatsApp and Slack messages, my keyboard gets a serious workout. After owning a Windows laptop for years now, I just accepted that rewriting the same text, phrases, and explanations was a part of my life. Mac has a pretty decent built-in text replacement tool that works great for text substitution. However, Windows does not offer such a feature. Fortunately, I found a tiny and super-useful open-source app that completely transformed the way I type on Windows. With this app, I save not just a few minutes, but hours of typing. After I got my hands on this open-source app, it’s almost impossible to imagine using my Windows computer without it.
