THE meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) class of fourth-year BS Tourism Management, together with irregular fourth-year students of BS Hospitality Management of Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), successfully organized a major academic and industry-focused event, showcasing excellence in MICE.
The activity was spearheaded under the guidance of faculty advisers Jerome Fernandez and Aefre Gesmundo, with Atasha Nicole Apalla as events chairman and Eunice Jhoizelle Dela Cruz as co-chairman and director for marketing and promotion.
The event was conducted under the administration of LSPU System President Mario Briones and LSPU Sta. Cruz Campus Director Manuel Luis Alvarez, with the leadership of College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management Dean Charmine Rivera and Tourism Program Coordinator Bernadette Pasion.
The students successfully mounted the 7th GLOCAL Trends in Tourism and Travel Industry of the New Millennium at the Laguna Sports Complex on Dec. 16, 2025.
Forum discussions featured culture bearers from the Cordillera, Panay Bukidnon and Manobo communities, as well as industry leaders who emphasized cultural identity, MICE industry development and destination promotion.
The event concluded with a fireworks display, celebrating seven years of MICE events and reinforcing the goal of developing globally and locally competitive tourism professionals.
