Not too long ago, Samsung recently announced that it’s been working with Google to integrate Google Photos directly into Samsung TVs, which the company describes as a way to give families easy access to favourite memories on a “cinematic” scale, moving personal photo libraries from mobile devices to the centre of the household.
The feature is set to roll out in early 2026, and will give Samsung TV users exclusive access to a curated “Memories” tool that organizes photos by people, places, and significant events. The integration will simply require a Google Account sign-in to add photos through Samsung’s Daily+ and Daily Board interfaces. Kevin Lee, Executive VP of the Customer Experience Team at the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung says:
Samsung TVs have always brought people together, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal. Through this partnership, we help users rediscover and relive cherished moments by bringing to light the stories behind their photos — right from the comfort of their living room.
Later in the year, the feature will include AI-powered creative tools such as Google DeepMind’s “Nano Banana” model which lets users transform still images into short videos or apply artistic styles through a “Remix” feature, as well as personalized slideshows based on specific themes like travel or activities.
