This 1988 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE was sold new at Bob Mickey’s 1st Avenue Chrysler-Plymouth of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Ice Blue Clear Coat-finished van is said to have remained with its first owner until 2017, at which time it was relocated to an auto museum in California, and it was acquired by the current owner in April 2025. Power is provided by a fuel-injected 3.0-liter SOHC V6 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle, and equipment includes a roof rack, a passenger-side sliding door, running boards, woodgrain bodyside appliques, power-assisted steering, front disc brakes, 14″ steel wheels, cruise control, Twilight Blue cloth upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning with front and rear controls, and an Infinity cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer in addition to power door locks and front windows. This Grand Voyager is offered at no reserve by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, on consignment with a window sticker, factory literature, service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and an Indiana title.
The car is finished in Ice Blue Clear Coat with woodgrain appliques. Exterior details include a roof rack, a passenger-side sliding door, running boards, tinted rear windows, and a heated rear window with a wiper. The selling dealer notes evidence of prior paintwork on the right-side rocker panel and the front end. The right-front turn signal and the power-adjustable mirrors are inoperative, and photos show sections of peeling gloss finish on the woodgrain panels.
Steel 14″ wheels are mounted with a mixed set of older tires, which the selling dealer states should be replaced due to age. The van is equipped with power steering in addition to power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.
The front seats are trimmed in Twilight Blue cloth that extends to the second- and third-row bench seats, while woodgrain trim accents the color-coordinated dashboard and center stack. Appointments include cruise control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning with front and rear controls, and an Infinity AM/FM/cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer in addition to power door locks. The headliner is drooping, the power front windows operate slowly, and the driver-side door light is inoperative.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 125-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 150k miles. The Carfax report indicates that the van was previously issued with “Not Actual Mileage” titles by the state of Iowa on several occasions between January 1988 and October 2017. The “Maintenance Required” warning lamp is illuminated.
The 3.0-liter SOHC V6 was sourced from Mitsubishi and utilizes multi-point fuel injection. Factory-rated output was 136 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque. The van was designated a Gross Polluter by the state of California in August 2017, and it most recently passed a California emissions test in July 2024.
