1981 BMW 320i 5-Speed

This 1981 BMW 320i is finished in Chestnut Red Metallic over Parchment leatherette upholstery and shows 80k miles. Powered by a 1.8-liter M10 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission, the car features include 13″ turbine-spoke alloy wheels, front disc brakes, a sunroof, air conditioning, and a cassette stereo. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, this E21 is offered in North Carolina with a clean Carfax report and a clean Michigan title.

The car is finished in Chestnut Red Metallic (157), and exterior equipment includes a sunroof, quad headlights, and pop-out rear vent windows. The selling dealer notes evidence of paintwork around the car. There is rust on the bottom of the driver’s door, a ding on the passenger door, and a scratch on the right front fender. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The 13″ turbine-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Sumitomo HRT 200 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Parchment leatherette, along with color-coordinated door panel inserts and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, a cassette stereo, and hand-crank windows.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 80k miles.

The 1.8-liter M10 inline-four was factory rated at 101 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
