This 2002 BMW M5 spent time in Oregon and California until the seller’s purchase in 2024, and it was specified in Titanium Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery. Powered by a 4.9-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the car features 18″ Style 65 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a sunroof, xenon headlights, fog lights, heated power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and navigation. Work performed since 2024 has included replacing the clutch, spark plugs, ignition coils, and brake booster. This E39 M5 has 87k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, service record, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) with Shadowline trim and features xenon headlights with washers, fog lamps, a glass sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and quad exhaust outlets. A July 2003 entry on the Carfax report notes damage to the front and right front when the car was inspected after an accident or other incident. Chrome Shadow 18″ Style 65 wheels are mounted with Michelin tires. The car features Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with All Season Traction, and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs measuring 13.6″ and 12.9″ front and rear, respectively. The brake fluid was changed and the upper control arms were replaced in 2024, while the brake booster was replaced in 2025.
The cabin features black leather covering the heated power-adjustable front sport seats, door panel inserts, center console, and lower dashboard, while aluminum accents the upper dashboard, center console, and upper doors. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a power rear sunshade, an M Audio system, and navigation.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel fronts an M-branded 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The cluster display has dead pixels, and the digital odometer indicates 87k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 is equipped with individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS continuously variable valve timing. It was factory rated at 394 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 rpm. The starter was replaced in 2024, and the ignition coils and spark plugs were replaced in 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch and transmission mount were replaced in December 2025.
