This 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS has remained registered in California since new and now has 90k miles. It is finished in Black over Gray leather and is powered by a 5.7-liter LT1 V8 with a modified exhaust. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and equipment includes polished 17″ five-spoke wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this Impala SS is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a spare mirror, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Black and features an SS-specific single-bar front grille, a trunk lid spoiler, and quarter panel badging. Chips are noted on the hood, front bumper cover, and passenger-side mirror cap.
Polished 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 255/50 Hankook Ventus ST tires. The Impala SS was fitted with heavy-duty dampers, 12.1″ disc brakes, and a 1″ lower sport-tuned suspension when compared with the contemporary Caprice.
The power-adjustable front Sport seats are upholstered in Gray leather with “SS” embroidered headrests, and they are joined by a color-coordinated center console, dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a cassette stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. A Viper alarm system is installed.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 90k miles.
The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 features sequential fuel injection and was factory rated at 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque in SS trim.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear mufflers have been removed, and the exhaust system now exits ahead of the axle.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage. The rear mufflers have been removed, the exhaust system has been revised, and the car last passed a CA emissions test in October 2025.
