MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and light rain and thunderstorms will affect the country on Friday due to three weather systems, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its early morning bulletin, Pagasa said the shear line was currently affecting the Bicol Region and Northern Samar, which will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, because of the northeast monsoon or amihan, Aurora, Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains, while Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Calabarzon will have cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas and the rest of the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
The weather update comes as the Feast of the Black Nazarene or the Traslacion starts its route from the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta to the Quiapo Church in Manila.
