This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is powered by a ZZ4 350ci V8 crate engine that was installed during a refurbishment that was conducted around 2019, according to the selling dealer. Additional modifications include a VBP suspension kit, Bilstein shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, an Edelbrock carburetor, Hooker exhaust headers, Flowmaster mufflers, a tilting steering column, a JVC cassette stereo, and a Pioneer CD changer. Finished in red over red leather, the car is further equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, turbine-style 15″ knock-off wheels, and power windows. This modified C2 is now offered in Pennsylvania with a Virginia title.
The fiberglass body was originally finished in Ermine White and was repainted in Riverside Red during the aforementioned ~2019 refurbishment, the seller tells us. Exterior features include retractable rotating headlights, bright rocker-panel trim, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, a flip-up fuel cap, a split rear window, quad taillamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
Turbine-style 15″ wheels wear three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/75 BFGoodrich Silvertown red-line tires. The suspension has been updated at the front and rear with a VBP-sourced kit and Bilstein shocks. The braking system has been converted to discs at all four corners, with SSBC calipers utilized at the front and Wilwood calipers out back.
The cabin is said to have been redone in red leather and other materials supplied by Al Knoch Interiors. A JVC cassette stereo and a controller for the Pioneer CD changer are positioned in the center stack, and other equipment includes power windows, an analog clock, black seatbelts, and red carpeting.
The three-spoke steering wheel attaches to an aftermarket tilting column and frames refurbished instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, and gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown, and the seller states that about 800 miles have been accumulated since completion of the refurbishment.
