1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa

This 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa was registered with its previous owner from 2005 until it was listed on BaT in August 2023, and it was acquired by the current owner later that year. Finished in Guards Red over black partial leather, the car is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle. Equipment includes 17″ Cup wheels, a removable Targa roof panel, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Porsche CD stereo. This 964 C2 Targa is now offered in New Jersey on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a window sticker, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

The car is finished in Guards Red (L80K) and features a removable Targa roof panel and a black satin-finish Targa bar as well as a speed-activated rear spoiler, fog lights, headlight washers, and heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. The previous owner noted evidence of paintwork on the right-front fender and front trunk lid.

The silver-finished 17″ Cup wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 255/40 rear Yokohama Advan Fleva tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS.

The power-adjustable front bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include dual front airbags, power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Porsche CD stereo. The climate adjustment buttons are worn.

A leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows under 49k miles. A November 2008 service record noted inoperative gauges, and the previous seller notes that a fuse was replaced to address the issue.

The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. Service in May 2025 included an oil change and replacement of the air filter and spark plugs.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Ted McWilliams Porsche of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and lists factory equipment, colors, options, and a total price of $68,773. Manufacturer’s literature, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a 2024 Concours d’Elegance runner-up award are included in the sale, along with service records.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
