This 1973 International Harvester Scout II is a two-wheel-drive model that was refurbished and modified under prior ownership. It is powered by a GM 6.0-liter Vortec V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in lime green with black Rallye-style graphics over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a Softopper removable soft top, a roll bar, steel bumpers, LED headlights, 15″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, a Rough Country lift kit, Corbeau front bucket seats, and a RetroSound stereo. Acquired by the seller in April 2019, this Scout II is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was repainted in lime green with black Rallye-style side decals following body repairs during the refurbishment. The front grille features a textured bedliner finish, and equipment includes a fabricated front bumper with a bull bar, a black-finished rear step bumper, LED headlights, and a Softopper removable soft top. Paint bubbles on the left windshield pillar, corrosion on the bottom of the rocker panels, and other blemishes are visible in the gallery below.
Black-finished 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 33×12.5″ Falken Wildpeak Mud Terrain tires. The truck is equipped with a Rough Country suspension lift, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features Corbeau front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl that extends to the dash pad and door panels. Wood trim accents the gear shifter and the fabricated locking center console, and the center console has an etching of the truck’s front outline. Additional appointments include a roll bar, wooden shift knob, a cabin heater, triple-weave carpeting, a RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, and floor mats with body-color Scout stitching.
The wood-rimmed four-spoke steering wheel fronts AutoMeter gauges consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 481 miles, which is said to be the mileage added since the refurbishment was completed.
The front-hinged hood opens to reveal a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 that was installed under previous ownership and was reportedly inspected by Anything Scout of Ames, Iowa, under current ownership. The truck is equipped with aftermarket exhaust headers, a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator, and a BP Automotive wiring harness.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
