It was acquired by the seller in 2025 and subsequently fitted with a replacement on/off toggle switch, power cord, 120-volt wiring, and LED fixtures. Other elements include a translucent face and a metal enclosure with a mounting bracket located on the back. This Illuminated Fina sign is now offered at no reserve in Connecticut.
Founded in 1920 as Compagnie Financière Belge des Pétroles, the Belgium-based Petrofina operated in the US beginning in the 1950s and established a chain of Fina-branded gas stations. A version of the company logo with red, white, and blue design elements is displayed on this piece, which has a translucent panel housed in a metal frame. It measures approximately 81″ tall by 76″ wide and 5″ deep. The sign weighs about 65 pounds.
LED lights housed within the enclosure were replaced following the seller’s acquisition. The seller notes that the power cord, 120-volt wiring, and on/off toggle switch were also replaced.
