A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Umar Sani, has insisted that the party does not have any faction.
Speaking during an interview on TVC’s ‘Breakfast Show’ on Monday, Sani said what the party has at the comment is only a splinter group.
He said: “Let me tell you that in the PDP, we don’t have a faction. The law states that a faction can only exist when a court makes such a declaration that there is a faction within a political party.
“As it is now, we have a splinter group because all the organs of the party are intact. So when people move away from the correct setting, they become splinter group.
“Now, the original Board of Trustees, BoT, is there. The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike’s BoT was later formed because if you ask any Nigerian who is the chairman of our BOT, they know that it is Adolphus Wabara.”
