This 2007 Volkswagen New Beetle was registered in Nevada and Arizona before its May 2023 acquisition by the seller. It was converted from a sedan to a “Ute” pickup between December 2024 and May 2025, using a kit from Smyth Performance that included various fiberglass and aluminum panels and structural reinforcements. Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-five paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, the car was refinished in green over black leatherette following the completion of the conversion. It also features a 1960s Chevrolet pickup-sourced rear window, woodgrain-style vinyl bed flooring, projector-style headlights, aftermarket LED rear lighting, four-wheel disc brakes, aftermarket 17″ alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. This New Beetle Smyth ute indicates 109k miles and is offered at no reserve with factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Gecko Green (LA6K). The body panels, with the exception of the hood, were repainted in green following the pickup conversion, which included the installation of a Smyth Performance fiberglass rear bumper roll pan, window surround panel, and rear quarter panels as well as a 1960s Chevrolet pickup-sourced rear window, aluminum bedside panels, and various aluminum structural components. Additional exterior details include projector-style headlights, woodgrain-style vinyl bed flooring, aftermarket LED taillights, reverse lights, and license plate lights.
Aftermarket 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with 215/45 Toyo Extensa HP II tires. Braking is from four-wheel discs.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black leatherette. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. Photos show blemishes on various interior trim.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, which has an inset tachometer and fuel-level gauge. The digital odometer indicates 109k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added by the seller.
The 2.5-liter inline-five features four valves per cylinder, and it produced 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The seller tells us that the oil pan gasket was replaced in March 2025.
