This 1973 MGB roadster was purchased used in February 1976 from Larry Murphy Chevrolet in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, by a person who owned the car until it was acquired by the selling dealer—a BaT Local Partner—in October 2025. Finished in British Racing Green over tan vinyl upholstery, the vehicle is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black convertible top, a black removable hardtop, a tonneau cover, Rostyle 14″ wheels, and dual SU carburetors. Work conducted in May 2025 involved rebuilding the carburetors, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the steering-rack boots and the battery. This Mk III MGB is now offered at no reserve with service records since 2005, a tool kit, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The seller notes evidence that the car was originally a beige color and states that it has been repainted in British Racing Green twice, most recently in the 1980s. Features include a black mesh grille, triple windshield wipers, door-mounted mirrors, side-marker lights, reverse lights, bright trim, and chrome-finished bumpers with overriders. Rust bubbles in the rocker panels as well as the lower portions of the fenders and the quarter panels are highlighted in the seller’s video and photo galleries provided below, as are worn paint, a misaligned hood, and loose weatherstripping.

Rostyle 14″ wheels are mounted with Ultra 870 Supreme A/S radial tires measuring 175/70. A spare Rostyle wheel with a Firestone tire is located in the trunk. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. The brake fluid was flushed and the tie-rod boots were replaced in May 2025.

The Parrish Plastics removable hardtop is missing mounting hardware. The convertible top is pictured in the gallery, and the seller notes that its vinyl is stiff and has shrunk and also that its plastic window is dull. A black tonneau cover also will accompany the vehicle.

The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in tan vinyl that extends to the door panels. Interior appointments include a center armrest, a glovebox, a passenger-side map pocket, a heater, seatbelts, tan carpeting, and carpeted floor mats. The seller states that the Craig AM/FM radio does not work, and the turn-signal stalk should be replaced. Flaws on the dashboard and rust in the trunk compartment are shown in the gallery.

The steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges displaying oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 84k miles, approximately 60 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The 1.8-liter inline-four was factory equipped with twin SU carburetors and was rated at 78 horsepower and 94 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the engine retains emissions equipment. The carburetors were rebuilt and the battery was replaced in May 2025. Recent compression readings are said to have yielded 130, 140, 140, and 140 psi.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The Pennsylvania title carries an “Antique Vehicle” brand.
