This neon single-sided sign is a reproduction piece depicting the cartoon character Yosemite Sam. The multi-color neon tubes are powered by 120-volt circuitry, and the square sign measures 36″ wide, 36″ tall, and 7″ deep. This neon sign was acquired by the seller in 2024, and it is now offered at no reserve in Taunton, Massachusetts, with a wooden shipping crate.
Yosemite Sam was created by Warner Bros. animator Friz Freleng in the 1945 cartoon Hare Trigger, as a more formidable adversary than Elmer Fudd for Bugs Bunny.
Red, yellow, gold, blue, and white neon tubes using 120-volt circuitry outline the artwork. The frame is made of metal, finished in black, and has pre-drilled mounting tabs. Power is controlled by inline on/off switches on the two power cords with US-style wall plugs.
