This 1948 GMC 100 five-window pickup has been modified with a 350ci V8, an automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end, a ’70 Camaro front clip, and custom steel wheels. The body was refinished in red with a wood-lined bed, and the interior was redone with cloth and vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, a cassette radio, and a tilt column. A matching trailer has been refinished to the truck’s specifications, and the pair were acquired by the seller in 2017. In the last year the Edelbrock carburetor was cleaned, a tune-up was performed, and the battery was replaced. This New Design pickup and trailer are now offered with a Texas title in the seller’s name.
The truck has been repainted red, and the bed was redone with a wooden floor. The five-window cab has a visor. The seller notes the right door requires adjustment.
The suspension was modified with a coil-spring front clip the seller tells us was sourced from a 1970 Camaro. Staggered white-letter tires are mounted on the steel wheels, which feature chrome lips and simulated knock-offs. The front springs and shocks were replaced in 2018.
The bench seat has been redone with black vinyl and cloth upholstery, and air conditioning was added along with a cassette radio. The seller installed the lap belts and replaced the glove box lock.
A three-spoke wheel is mounted on a tilt column. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 350ci V8 is topped by an Edelbrock carburetor that was rebuilt in 2017 and cleaned in 2025. Additional work this year included replacing the battery and performing a tune-up.
The automatic transmission is linked to a 12-bolt rear end, and the truck has a dual exhaust system.
The truck is titled as a 1948 GMC using VIN T215178.
The single-axle trailer rides on matching 15″ wheels and Goodyear Eagle ST tires, and it also has wooden bed topper, a chrome bumper, and brake lights. The antique plate is for show only; the trailer is listed with Texas as a non-titled farm trailer, and it does not have any VIN sequence.
