2002 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Silver Arrow

This 2002 Mercedes-Benz was initially delivered to Crown Motor Company of Dublin, Ohio, and is one of 1,450 SL500 Silver Arrow convertibles produced for the US market to celebrate the company’s racing history. The car has 9k miles and was purchased by the seller on BaT in July 2025. It is finished in Silver Arrow Metallic over black and silver Exclusive leather and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, a black soft top, xenon headlights, 18″ two-piece alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable seats, a Bose sound system, a six-disc CD changer, and automatic climate control. This R129 is now offered in Colorado with a Silver Arrow-branded briefcase, a window sticker, service records, a wind deflector, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

All Silver Arrow edition examples were finished in Silver Arrow Metallic (777), and this example is equipped with a black soft top, xenon headlights, fog lights, heated side mirrors, and a power antenna as well as an AMG-styled front spoiler, side skirts, and rear apron. The convertible top hydraulics were replaced in June 2025.

Staggered-width 18″ two-piece alloy wheels were unique to the Silver Arrow and are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires that were fitted in June 2025. The car is equipped with electronic stability control, and braking is handled by cross-drilled discs at each corner. A brake fluid flush was performed, and the front left lower control arm, steering damper, and center drag link were replaced in June 2025.

The heated power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Black and Silver Exclusive leather, while black birdseye maple wood trim adorns the doors and center stack. Amenities include a deployable roll bar, a Bose sound system, a six-disc CD changer, illuminated brushed aluminum door sill plates, seat-position memory settings, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The hardtop’s headliner was replaced in October 2025.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an engine-turned bezel housing a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, fuel economy, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 9k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The engine mounts and hood insulation pad were replaced in June 2025, at which time an oil change was performed. The water pump, thermostat, and coolant temperature sensor were replaced in August 2025, and work in September 2025 included resurfacing the driver-side cylinder head and replacing the corresponding head gasket and cylinder head bolts along with the intake manifold gasket, valve cover gaskets, intake valve seals, and various breather hoses.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The rear shift-linkage bushing was replaced in August 2025.

The window sticker notes initial delivery to Crown Motor Company of Dublin, Ohio, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total retail price of $87,945. A Silver Arrow-branded briefcase is also included in the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
