MANILA, Philippines — Ticket sales for the historic WTA 125 Philippine Women’s Open will open on Jan. 14, with prices starting at 200 pesos to ensure the event remains accessible to local fans.
The country’s first WTA event will commence on January 26 to 31 with high-caliber and world-class athletes playing at the refurbished Rizal Memorial Sports Coliseum.
Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Pato Gregorio emphasized the importance of making the tickets accessible to the public.
“At this moment, I received a text, someone said that they’re thankful and happy for the price range,” the PSC chairman said, taking a pause from his speech during the Philippine Women’s Open press conference on Tuesday afternoon at the Lanson Hotel in Pasay City.
Tickets for the upcoming tournament go on sale tomorrow, with prices starting at 200 pesos for the opening qualifiers on January 24–25. Admission for the Round of 32 and Quarterfinals, scheduled for January 26–29, is set at 1,000 pesos.
