This 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 is a right-hand-drive example that is said to have been previously used as a diplomatic vehicle by the British High Commission in Uganda. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 fitted with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley carburetor, while shifting is through a five-speed manual gearbox linked to a dual-range transfer case. The body was recently repainted in green, and features include a roof rack, an intake snorkel, aftermarket headlights, disc brakes, 16” steel wheels, and seating for nine. The current owner acquired the truck in 2021, and it was brought to the US in mid-2022. This Defender 110 is now offered with service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title in the name of the seller’s spouse.
The truck is finished in green with a white roof and is said to have been repainted in 2020. It has a roof rack, an air intake snorkel, a front skid plate, aftermarket headlights, side steps, and alpine windows. There are imperfections around the exterior.
The 16” steel wheels are mounted with Firestone tires, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. The seller notes a vibration in the suspension and that the tires need to be replaced.
The right-hand-drive cabin houses replacement seats trimmed in black upholstery, and the interior is appointed with a center console, wooden shift knobs, manual windows, and diamond-plate-style floor liners.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and readouts for battery charge, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 240k miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership. The odometer does not work, and total mileage is unknown.
The 3.5-liter Rover V8 was fitted with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, and a replacement thermostat and heater hoses in 2025. Additional work performed under current ownership included replacing the battery, starter, distributor, ignition coil, water pump, spark plugs, and exhaust headers. The seller reports that cold starts require pumping of the throttle pedal.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case with a locking center differential. There is corrosion on some underside components.
