This 1969 Bultaco Metralla underwent a refurbishment prior to being purchased by the selling dealer in 2025 with work that included refinishing the bodywork in black and silver with gold pinstriping. The bike is powered by a 244cc two-stroke single paired with a five-speed gearbox, and equipment includes 18″ alloy rims, a leading-axle fork, adjustable shocks, a ventilated TLS front drum brake, and a low-mount exhaust system with a chrome torpedo-style muffler. This Model 23 Mk2 Metralla is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Florida with an Idaho title.

The bike has been refinished in black and silver separated by gold pinstriping, and it features a black-painted single-downtube frame, a 3.7-gallon fuel tank with a flip-top filler, and a black vinyl two-up seat with a suede center insert. It also has a locking toolbox, folding passenger foot pegs, and a center stand. Decals on the toolbox and oil tank celebrate the Metralla’s successes in FIM Coupe d’Endurance championship racing.

Alloy 18″ rims mounted with Michelin Gazelle tires are laced to 160mm drum-brake hubs, the front of which features twin leading shoes and a screened ventilation scoop. Suspension is provided by a Bultaco leading-axle fork with alloy sliders as well as a pair of preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm.

Individual chrome handlebars fitted with Leonelli switchgear are clamped below the top triple clamp ahead of the adjustment knob for a friction damper in the steering stem. A VDO Avis 100-mph speedometer is inset atop the headlight bucket. The five-digit odometer shows 2,200 miles.

The 244cc piston-port two-stroke single was factory rated at 28 horsepower and is equipped with an aluminum cylinder and cylinder head, a 30mm Amal Monobloc carburetor, a left-side kick starter, and a chrome low-mounted exhaust system with a torpedo-style silencer.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a duplex primary chain, a wet clutch, and a five-speed gearbox with right-side shifting as well as an enclosed drive chain with grease-packed flexible arms.

The first two numerical digits (23) of the number M2302854 stamped atop the engine case denote a Metralla Mk2. A photo of the matching number stamped on the steering stem can be viewed in the gallery.
