This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4×4 was purchased by the seller in 2023, and a subsequent custom build involved the installation of a Rough Country 4″ suspension lift as well as a 396ci V8 crate engine linked to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and rebuilt axles with 3.73:1 Yukon differentials. The body was refinished in Ochre and white with woodgrain accents, and the underside and interior of the tub were coated with tinted bedliner material. Inside, a four-point roll bar was installed along with TMI bucket seats, a coordinated rear bench, a center console, a RetroSound stereo unit, a Restomod Air climate control system, and replacement gauges. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, an HEI distributor, a dual exhaust system with headers and Borla mufflers, and 18″ Detroit Steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and 33″ BFGoodrich tires. This modified K5 Blazer is now offered with engine dynamometer results and a California title in the seller’s name.
The body was stripped and refinished in Ochre and white after damaged panels were replaced, and the underside and the interior of the tub were coated with tinted bedliner. Details include woodgrain molding accents, LED taillights, and chrome bumpers. The truck does not have a top.
The truck rides on a Rough Country 4″ lift kit along with white-finished 18″ Detroit Steel wheels that wear chrome hubcaps and 33×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The seller notes a cross-over steering system has been installed along with a Rough Country steering stabilizer, and braking is handled by a power-assisted Wilwood master cylinder linked to front discs and rear drums.
The cabin has been customized with TMI front bucket seats trimmed in distressed brown upholstery along with a coordinated rear bench, center console, and door panels. A four-point roll bar is installed along with square-weave carpeting, a RetroSound stereo unit, and a Restomod Air climate-control system.
The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a CPP column and frames a 100-mph speedometer alongside gauges for fuel level, battery charge, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 6 miles have been added since the build was completed.
The BluePrint Engines 396ci V8 crate engine features an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, and chrome valve covers.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and rebuilt front and rear axles with 3.73:1 Yukon differentials. Long-tube headers feed into a dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers.
