This SWB 1966 Porsche 911 coupe is a non-running project in need of restoration. The car retains a 2.0-liter flat-six mated to a 902/1 five-speed manual transaxle with serial numbers that align with those provided on the Kardex copy, though the drivetrain is not currently installed completely. It was originally specified in Irish Green with black vinyl and Peptia upholstery and a Webasto heater, and the car was initially delivered in Germany. It is believed to have been imported to the US around 1985, and between 1991 and 2025 it was stored. In addition to mechanical recommissioning, the car will require corrosion repairs and cosmetics. This SWB 911 coupe project is now offered at no reserve in Florida by Car Cave SRQ, a BaT Local Partner, with a Kardex copy, service records, and an Illinois title listing the car as a 1967 model.
The Kardex copy denotes the car was ordered with Irish Green (6606) paintwork, leatherette and Pepita upholstery, and a Webasto heater. Initial delivery was to Fleischhauer Porsche of Cologne, Germany.
There is evidence of prior paintwork and bodywork on both rear quarters. Corrosion is noted on both the floors and the lower bodywork, both of which are documented in the gallery.
The car retains ventilated steel wheels, and the brake calipers have been painted red. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension including an anti-sway bar, longitudinal torsion bar, upper struts, and lower wishbones. The rear semi-trailing arm setup has coil springs over the tube shocks.
The original upholstery has been replaced by full black vinyl. There is no radio mounted in the dashboard, and speaker holes are cut in the door cards.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 127k miles, though it does not accurately reflect chassis mileage.
The seller believes the 2.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt around 1997, though its current running condition is unknown. Triple-throat Weber 40-IDA3C carburetors are fitted.
Engine stamping ☆907906☆ and transaxle number 231293 match the numbers listed on the Kardex.
A 902/1 five-speed manual has been retained.
