This 1971 Honda CL70 Scrambler is finished in Candy Topaz Orange and is powered by a 72cc four-stroke single paired with a four-speed transmission. Features include a two-up seat, a kick starter, a Keihin carburetor, chrome fenders and chain guard, street lighting, chrome mirrors, 17″ wire-spoke wheels, and a center stand. The bike was acquired by the seller in 2022, and service in 2024 included cleaning the Keihin carburetor, changing the oil, and replacing the battery and spark plug. This CL70 is now offered at no reserve with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The hollow stamped steel T-bone frame, headlight bucket, side panels, and swingarm are finished in Candy Topaz Orange, and the fuel tank is finished in silver with orange stripes. Features include a two-up seat upholstered in black vinyl with white piping, a horn, street lighting, folding passenger foot pegs, chrome fenders, and a center stand.
The 17″ wire-spoke wheels wear Michelin tires. Braking is handled by front and rear drums. Suspension includes a traditional fork with black rubber gaiters as well as twin partially-shrouded shocks attached to the swingarm.
The chrome cross-braced handlebar carries twin mirrors, black grips, a twist-grip throttle, and bright levers and controls. Instrumentation includes a 60-mph Nippon Seiki speedometer with inset indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 1,900 miles, approximately 50 of which were ridden under current ownership.
The 72cc four-stroke single features a Keihin carburetor, a kick starter, and a chrome upswept exhaust system with a perforated heat shield. Factory-rated output was five horsepower. Service in 2024 under current ownership included cleaning and adjusting the carburetor, changing the oil, and replacing the battery and spark plug.
