Kebbi State Government Orders Schools to Reopen on January 5

The Kebbi State Government has approved the reopening of all public and private schools across the state, effective Monday, January 5, 2026.

The decision was announced in an official letter signed by Isah Ibrahim K., Head of Public Relations and Protocol at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The directive follows a temporary closure implemented to guarantee safety measures and allow adequate administrative preparations.

All school administrators, teachers, parents, students, and Education Secretaries have been directed to comply fully with the resumption date.

School heads are required to make necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe return to academic activities, while parents and guardians are urged to promptly prepare and send their children and wards back to school, as classes will begin immediately without further delays.
