This 1979 Ford F-250 Ranger Lariat 4×4 pickup is said to have remained in Idaho prior to the selling dealer’s 2024 acquisition. A 460ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and further modifications include an aluminum radiator, a 4″ Rancho suspension lift, and 17″ American Racing wheels. The truck was refinished in Maroon, the steering system was refreshed, and the cabin was overhauled by the selling dealer. Power is routed through a four-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a rear limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes manually locking front hubs, a sliding rear window, a retro-style digital stereo, air conditioning, and a black vinyl and cloth-trimmed bench seat. This F-250 Ranger Lariat is now offered in New York by the selling dealer with a Deluxe Marti report and a clean New Jersey title.

The truck left the factory finished in Maroon, and it was refinished by the selling dealer. Additional work is said to have included replacing the windshield washer assembly and the hood hinges. Exterior details include a Styleside bed, dual towing mirrors, a sliding rear window, a lockable tool stowage box, chrome bumpers, and bright bodyside moldings with vinyl inserts.

Polished 17″ American Racing wheels are mounted with 37×12.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. The truck is equipped with a 4″ Rancho suspension lift, a Borgeson steering shaft, and manually locking front hubs. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The selling dealer notes that the shocks and emergency brake cables were replaced, and the brakes were serviced during the refurbishment.

The cabin was refreshed in 2025 and features a bench seat that has been re-covered in black vinyl and cloth. The headliner, carpeting, and door cards were replaced, and the lighted vanity mirror was repaired. Additional interior details include a retro-style digital stereo, air conditioning, and lap belts.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames an 85-mph speedometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery charge status, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles. The selling dealer tells us that the steering column was rebuilt and the column bearing was replaced in 2025.

The 460ci V8 was installed under previous ownership, and it is equipped with aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. A tune-up was performed, and  the alternator, battery, solenoid, voltage regulator, AC belt, and exhaust components were replaced by the selling dealer.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck was optioned with a Dana 60 front axle and a rear limited-slip differential.
