This 1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata was fitted with a 6.0-liter L76 V8 and 6L80-E six-speed automatic transmission from a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT as part of a build completed by Monster Miata of San Marcos, California. The car wears a black vinyl wrap over orange paintwork and features a removable hardtop along with a rear spoiler. It rides on 16″ XXR wheels coupled with five-lug hubs and Ford Mustang–sourced disc brakes at all four corners. Inside, gray cloth–trimmed seats are accompanied by an OMP steering wheel, a Kenwood steering wheel, and a Hard Dog roll bar. Further equipment includes a Corvette-sourced intake, a dual exhaust system, and a Ford 8.8″ rear end. The current owner acquired the car in 2024 and has since added approximately 6k of the 186k indicated chassis miles. This modified NB Miata is now offered in Oakley, California, at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a Montana title.

The NB Miata was introduced for the 1999 model year, with styling updates including fixed headlamps and wider bodywork. Previously repainted in orange, this example wears a black vinyl wrap and features a hardtop as well as a rear spoiler. The hood is secured by AeroCatch-style pins, while the bumpers have been modified to include vents with mesh grilles. The convertible top has been removed, the vinyl wrap is peeling in areas, and various dents are visible around the car.

The black 16″ XXR wheels are mounted to five-lug hubs and wrapped with a mixed set of 205/45 Nitto and Westlake tires. The car rides on Flyin’ Miata FOX adjustable coilovers and is said to be fitted with Ford Mustang–sourced disc brakes.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in gray cloth along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a Kenwood stereo, a Lokar shifter, a Hard Dog roll bar, and power windows.

The OMP steering wheel fronts a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts along with AutoMeter gauges mounted to the A-pillar. The digital odometer indicates 186k chassis miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes that the tachometer reads incorrectly.

The aluminum block 6.0-liter L76 V8 and 6L80-E six-speed automatic transmission were sourced from a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT donor car and installed under previous ownership in 2018. The engine breathes through a Corvette-sourced intake and is accompanied by an aluminum radiator with an electric puller fan as well as fabricated reservoirs for coolant overflow and windshield washer fluid. An oil change was last performed in August 2025.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford 8.8″ rear end that is said to be fitted with a limited-slip differential with a 3.07 gear set and Factory Five axles. The car is further equipped with a dual exhaust system and Magnaflow mufflers.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The car cannot pass a California emissions test, therefore it cannot be sold to an in-state private party buyer.
