This 1967 Chevrolet El Camino is said to have been refurbished in 2006, and it was acquired by the current owner in 2022. It is powered by a replacement 327ci V8 linked to a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a Positraction limited-slip rear differential. Features include a tonneau cover, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ Torq Thrust-style wheels, twin Strato-Bucket seats, a tilt steering column, seat belts, power windows, an aftermarket stereo, and a cabin heater. The seat cushions and carpeting were replaced in preparation for the sale. This El Camino is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual and a clean Iowa title.
The seller tells us that a repaint in black was completed in 2006. Exterior equipment includes quad headlights, a horizontal-bar grille, quarter-panel El Camino badges, a tonneau cover, a drop-down tailgate, and chrome trim and bumpers. The antenna was replaced under current ownership. Paint flaws are noted.
The 15″ US Mags Torq Thrust-style wheels are mounted with 235/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires. The truck is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The twin Strato-Bucket seats and the door panels are trimmed in black vinyl, and the color coordinated carpeting was replaced in preparation for the sale along with the seat padding. Interior equipment includes seat belts, a center console, vent corner windows, power-operated side windows, a floor-mounted high-beam switch, a Retrosound stereo with Bluetooth, and a cabin heater.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting steering column and fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, warning lights, a fuel-level gauge, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. The carburetor jets are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.
The stamping on the engine stamp pad is shown above. The KL suffix is consistent with a 327ci V8 for use in a passenger car.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a Positraction limited-slip rear differential with a 3.23 ratio.
