This 2004 Volkswagen New Beetle Turbo S remained in the care of its original owner until being acquired by the seller in late 2024. Service since then involved changing the fluids and replacing the timing belt, water pump, drive belt, oxygen sensor, cooling fan control module, catalytic converter, and tires. Finished in Platinum Gray Metallic over black and gray leather, the car is powered by a turbocharged 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. It rides on 17″ alloy wheels and is further equipped with a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, fog lights, heated front seats, air conditioning, and a Monsoon sound system. The Turbo S featured revised bumper covers, a speed-activated roof spoiler, Turbo S decklid badging, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. This example is finished in Platinum Gray Metallic (LD7X), and additional exterior equipment includes a sunroof, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, and projector-style headlights.
Silver-finished 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels were wrapped in 225/45 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus tires in January 2025. The car is equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and anti-lock braking is provided by ventilated front and solid rear discs.
The heated front bucket seats and folding rear bench are upholstered in black and gray leather. Rubberized floor mats line the footwells, and appointments include a Monsoon sound system, a cassette stereo, a dashboard-mounted vase, cruise control, and air conditioning. An aftermarket Bluetooth receiver has been added, and scratches are evident on various surfaces.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline alongside a fuel-level gauge. The digital odometer indicates 42k miles, approximately 1,500 of which have been added under current ownership.
The turbocharged 1.8-liter inline-four was factory rated at 180 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2025 included changing the fluids and replacing the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, oxygen sensor, air filter, drive belt, and cooling fan control module.
Power is routed to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. An exhaust clamp and the catalytic converter were replaced in November 2025.
