This 1976 Ford Bronco Explorer was acquired by the seller and his wife as a project in 2013. Subsequent work consisted of refinishing the body, rebuilding the 302ci V8, rewiring the truck, retrimming the interior, and installing a FiTech EFI system, a lift kit, aftermarket driveshafts, n custom audio system, and Classic Instruments gauges. It is finished in blue gray bedliner coating over black cloth upholstery and is powered by a 302ci V8 linked with three-speed automatic transmission and a twin-stick transfer case. Additional equipment includes a removable hardtop, a family-style roll cage, James Duff front and rear bumpers, LED headlights, bolt-on fender extensions, a 3.5″ lift kit, power steering, Warn manually-locking front hubs, power front disc brakes, an Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD ignition components, and long-tube exhaust headers. This modified Bronco is now offered with an Elite Marti Report, a build sheet, spare parts, and a clean North Carolina title.
The truck was stripped and refinished in blue gray bed-liner coating under current ownership. Exterior details include a removable black hard top, a family-style roll cage, James Duff front and rear bumpers, LED headlights, bolt-on fender extensions, hood pins, a swing-away tire carrier, and a receiver hitch. The Pacer 15″ wheels are mounted with 33×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with a 3.5″ James Duff lift kit, power steering, and Warn manually-locking front hubs, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The replacement bucket seats and fold-n-tumble rear bench are trimmed in black cloth upholstery and billet aluminum lines the dashboard and door panels. Additional equipment includes a retro-style digital stereo, a locking center console, a LED dashboard lights, aftermarket speakers, and a cabin heater. Insulation has been installed on the firewall and doors.
An aftermarket steering wheel is mounted on a chrome tilting column. Classic Instruments gauges were installed under current ownership and include a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The fuel gauge works intermittently. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, all of which were added under current ownership. The removed odometer displays 92k miles, although the total mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt in 2014 and it features a FiTech fuel injection system, an Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD ignition components, long-tube exhaust headers, finned valve covers, and a Painless Performance wiring harness. An aftermarket aluminum radiator is fitted.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, Extreme Duty driveshafts, and a twin-stick transfer case. An aftermarket dual exhaust system and an aluminum transmission cooler have been fitted. Corrosion is exhibited on underbody components.
