455-Powered 1969 Pontiac Firebird Coupe

This 1969 Pontiac Firebird coupe is powered by a high-performance 455ci V8, which was  assembled in 2020 with an Eagle crankshaft, H-beam connecting rods, Kauffman Racing cylinder heads, and a solid roller camshaft. The TH400 three-speed automatic is linked with a Moser 12-bolt rear axle, and further equipment includes MSD ignition, long-tube headers, Viking rear shocks, traction bars, American Racing 18″ wheels, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The body is finished in metallic blue with white stripes and features a twin-scoop hood, flared rear fenders, chrome bumpers, and aftermarket headlights. Inside, the black vinyl bucket seats are joined by a center console, and a touchscreen infotainment unit and Kicker speakers were recently installed. Acquired by the seller in 2025, this modified Firebird is now offered with a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The body has been refinished in metallic blue with custom white stripes, and the rear fenders were flared to accommodate the wheel and tire package. Exterior details include a twin-scoop hood, halo-style headlights, simulated fender vents, sport mirror housings, and chrome bumpers. Close-up photos of the paint, trim, and imperfections are provided in the gallery.

American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 245/45 Maxtour LX tires up front and 315/40 Nitto NT555 G2 rubber at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, Viking rear shocks, and traction bars. Stopping is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The seller tells us the Jensen touchscreen audio system, USB ports, rearview camera, and Kicker speakers were installed, and the carpets, dashboard, and wiring were replaced following their acquisition in 2025. The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and are joined by a center console.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a column-mounted tachometer along with 160-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. Bosch readouts are mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, approximately 350 of which were added under current ownership.

The 455ci V8 was assembled in 2020 with Kauffman Racing cylinder heads, ARP head bolts, an Eagle crankshaft, H-beam connecting rods, Clevite bearings, a solid roller camshaft, and uprated valve springs, per the records displayed in the gallery. It is also equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, Moroso valve covers, and MSD ignition components. Oil leaks are noted from the engine and transmission.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Moser 12-bolt rear axle assembly. Long-tube headers are linked to a dual exhaust system with chambered mufflers.
