Dual-screen laptops usually feel like expensive experiments rather than practical tools. ASUS is taking another shot at the concept with the Zenbook DUO 2026, and this time it actually works.
The laptop packs two full 14-inch OLED displays with 3K resolution (2880 x 1800), 144Hz refresh rates, 1000 nits HDR peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. These aren’t compromised secondary displays, they’re proper OLED panels that handle color-critical work.
What makes the Zenbook DUO different is the detachable magnetic Bluetooth keyboard that connects via pogo pins. You can use it attached for a traditional laptop feel, or detach it and use both screens independently. The laptop supports four modes: dual screen for multitasking, laptop mode with the keyboard attached, desktop mode propped vertically, and sharing mode for presentations.
Power in a Compact Package
Under the hood, the Zenbook DUO runs on up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors with Intel Arc graphics and up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance. That makes it a Copilot+ PC with full AI features. You get up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage across two M.2 slots.
Port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 FRL, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The 99Wh battery powers both displays, and the 100W USB-C charger tops it up quickly.
Despite packing two screens, the Ceraluminum chassis weighs just 1.65kg. ASUS redesigned the hinge to create a seamless 8.28mm gap between screens, which is 70% thinner than before. Audio comes from six speakers with Dolby Vision and Atmos support.
ASUS included support for the ASUS Pen 3.0, so you can use either screen as a drawing surface. Having one screen for your canvas and another for tools could genuinely improve creative workflows.
The Zenbook DUO starts at $1,699 for the Intel Core Ultra 7 model (January 2026) and $1,899 for the Core Ultra 9 version (February 2026). That’s expensive, but you’re getting two premium OLED displays and flagship specs in a surprisingly portable package.
