This 1976 Yamaha YZ250 was purchased new by a friend of the seller who rode it for ten years before storing it in a South Dakota Barn where it remained until being acquired by the seller in 2022. It was then refurbished by the seller over 2024 and 2025 with work that included overhauling the 246cc two-stroke single and six-speed transmission, repainting the aluminum fuel tank, fitting RCB alloy rims, and replacing the drive chain, sprockets, airbox, wheel spokes, and seat. Equipment includes an expansion-chamber exhaust system, a chrome cross-braced handlebar, air-cushioned fork tubes, a Mikuni carburetor, Monocross rear suspension, a side stand, high-mount plastic fenders, and black number plates. This YZ250C is now offered at no reserve in Arizona for off-road use only with a bill of sale
The aluminum fuel tank was refinished in yellow with black and white graphics during the refurbishment, and the seat foam and cover were replaced. Features include a black-finished twin-downtube frame, yellow high-mount plastic fenders, folding foot pegs, a chrome cross-braced handlebar, and a side stand.
The wire-spoke wheels feature 21″ and 18″ RCB alloy rims as well as Rinaldi front and Wig Racing rear knobby tires. The spokes, tubes, bearings, and seals were replaced during the refurbishment. Suspension consists of a conventional fork with tube-top air-cushion reservoirs and black rubber gaiters as well as a Monocross monoshock rear end. Braking is from drums at both ends.
The 246cc two-stroke single features a Mikuni carburetor, reed-valve induction, a kick starter, and a black high-mount expansion-chamber exhaust system. The airbox was replaced during the refurbishment.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a drive chain with a lower guard. The drive chain and sprockets were replaced in 2024.
