CES 2026 has been a pretty awesome event, especially with all the impressive hardware that we managed to check out during the show. That said, SanDisk wanted to cap off its CES showcase on a high note with the launch of the Sandisk Optimus line, which is essentially a refreshed brand identity for its internal SSD lineup.
The updated portfolio is divided into three different tiers to help users easily identify the right hardware for their needs. This includes the standard SANDISK Optimus line which is designed for content creation, while the SANDISK Optimus GX is geared more towards gaming performance. Sitting at the top is the SANDISK Optimus GX PRO, which is engineered for AI PCs and high-end workstations, to name a couple.
The company says that this new naming convention replaces the previous WD Blue and WD_BLACK labels for a more “streamlined” product offering, as well as new packaging. Heidi Arkinstall, VP for Global Consumer Brand and Digital Marketing at Sandisk states:
The SANDISK Optimus
brand redefines what performance means for consumer needs… Our products span multiple segments and with this change we are making it easier for consumers to find the right solution for their needs.
