This Sega Viper Night Drivin’ pinball machine was manufactured in 1998 by Sega Pinball, Inc. of Melrose Park, Illinois. The game features music by Slash, the cabinet is finished in Dodge Viper-themed artwork, and the playfield features raccoon figurines, ramps, wireforms, and targets. It is now offered in Georgia with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, and a set of “Glo-Balls.”
Work performed under current ownership included rebuilding the flippers, pop bumpers, slings, diverters, and posts. Silicone rubber rings were fitted, and the coil sleeves were replaced. The playfield switches were inspected and gapped to factory specifications. The game is equipped with LED lighting and features a functional UV “blacklight” mode.
The digital display has been modified with a ColorDMD unit and an NVRAM battery eliminator has been installed on the CPU board.
A manufacturer’s label indicates a production date of April 13, 1998. The seller notes that serial number 144724 matches on the cabinet, backbox, and CPU board.
Spare plastics and a set of “Glo-Balls” are included in the sale. The machine measures approximately 76″ high, 29″ wide, and 55″ deep, and weighs approximately 250 pounds.
