This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo shows 62k miles and is said to have remained registered in California to its original owner until 2023. It was purchased by the seller in September 2025, and subsequent work consisted of powder-coating the wheels, changing the oil, and replacing the drag link, steering damper, radiator, coolant hoses, ball joints, fuel filters, engine and transmission mounts, and more as detailed below. Finished in Smoke Silver Metallic over Palomino MB-Tex upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a sunroof, 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, a Becker Grand Prix cassette stereo, cruise control, power windows, central locking, wood trim, and automatic climate control. This W123 300D Turbo is offered at no reserve with a service record, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) and features a sunroof, dual side mirrors, tinted rear windows, a power antenna, and bright trim. Photos provided in the gallery below show scratches on the roof.

Refinished 14″ Bundt alloy wheels are mounted with 195/70 Toyo Extensa A/S II tires produced in 2025. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs. The drag link, steering damper, and ball joints were replaced in November 2025.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in Palomino MB-Tex (154). Additional appointments include automatic climate control, wood trim, a Becker Grand Prix cassette stereo, cruise control, power windows, and central locking. In preparation for the sale, the right-rear window regulator and the door stops were replaced. The glovebox latch was also repaired, although some of the photos were taken before the work was completed. There is a crack in the wood trim just above the glovebox lock.

Instrumentation consists of a 125-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer as well as an analog clock and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five was factory rated at 123 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Service in November 2025 included changing the oil, flushing the fuel tank, and replacing the radiator, coolant hoses, fuel filters, and engine mounts, as well as the fuel primer and screen.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission whose mount was replaced in November 2025, along with a shift bushing.
