This 1986 Jeep CJ-7 was repainted Jet Black Metallic following the seller’s acquisition in 2021. Additional work since then involved installing 15″ American Racing alloy wheels, a Bestop soft top, a custom audio system, and Team Xenon fender flares as well as machining the cylinder head and replacing the head gasket, radiator, thermostat, and ignition components. The truck is powered by a 258ci inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and it is further equipped with manually locking front hubs, a winch, a steel rear bumper, replacement bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl, and a locking center console. This CJ-7 is now offered with partial service records, two sets of removable doors, an accident-free Carfax report, and a Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The truck was painted in Porsche-specification Jet Black Metallic under current ownership. A Bestop soft top and Team Xenon fender flares have been installed, and the windshield has been replaced. Further details include a winch, nerf bars, and an aftermarket rear bumper. Removable steel half doors and a set of vinyl doors and side windows are included in the sale.
Polished 15″ American Racing Outlaw 2 wheels were wrapped in 33×12.5″ Falken Wildpeak A/T tires in April 2021, and a matching spare is affixed to the rear carrier. The truck rides on a lifted suspension and is equipped with power steering and manually locking front hubs. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The replacement bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl that extends to the rear bench seat. Bedliner material has been applied to the floorboards, and appointments include all-weather floor mats, a locking center console, a Bluetooth-capable Sony head unit, Infinity speakers, a JBL amplifier, and a downward-firing 10″ Kicker subwoofer. The rearview mirror and front seatbelt latches were replaced under current ownership.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The fuel level readout does not work, and the seller tells us that the speedometer needle sticks intermittently. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 6k of which have been added under current ownership. The Carfax report shows a potential odometer rollover in May 2000, and total mileage is unknown.
The 258ci inline-six is equipped with an HEI distributor and was factory rated at 112 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Work since 2021 involved machining the cylinder head and replacing the radiator, thermostat, spark plugs, ignition wires, and cylinder head gasket.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Rock-It bedliner material has been applied to the underside, and the clutch is said to have been replaced.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned potential odometer rollover in May 2000.
The Maryland title carries a “Duplicate or Corrected” notation.
