This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was refurbished when it was owned by the seller’s uncle in 1998, and it was purchased by the seller in 2023. It is finished in silver with a black vinyl roof and stripes and powered by a 402ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Further equipment includes a cowl-induction hood, PosiTraction differential, a Hurst shifter, long-tube headers, front and rear sway bars, power steering, front disc brakes, and 15″ Sport wheels with Goodyear white-letter tires. The cabin is outfitted with front bucket seats, a center console, black vinyl upholstery, and a push-button radio. This Chevelle Malibu is now offered with a car cover and a Michigan title.
The car left the factory finished in Cortez Silver (14) with black stripes, and the seller tells us the car was refinished during the refurbishment in 1998, adding that it retains its factory black vinyl roof. Details include a cowl-induction hood, a black grille and taillight panel, hood pins, hideaway windshield wipers, and chrome bumpers. The seller reports a scratch on the right-rear quarter panel and wear from the hood pins.
The 15″ Sport wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle ST white-letter tires, and a covered spare is stowed in the trunk. The steering and front disc brake systems are power-assisted, and the car is equipped with front and rear sway bars. The master cylinder was replaced, the brake fluid was flushed, and the rear drums were adjusted in March 2024.
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and the center console houses a Hurst shifter. The heater core was replaced, and the heater box housing was cleaned in March 2024.

The 402ci V8 was factory rated factory rated at 350 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Work in March 2024 included replacing the battery and refilling the coolant, and additional service in 2024 included replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, and distributor. Long-tube headers are linked to a dual exhaust system with chambered mufflers.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle, which the seller tells us is equipped with a PosiTraction differential. The shift rod clip and bushings were replaced in April 2025.
