This collection of single-sided reproduction neon signs includes three round signs displaying the logos of Aero Eastern, Sinclair, and Texaco Sky Chief. All three signs have multi-color neon, are supported by a metal frame for freestanding or hanging display, and are powered by 120-volt wiring with pull-cord on/off switches. The selling dealer assembled the collection in 2025, and it is now offered at no reserve in Salem, Oregon.
Aero Eastern Motor Oil was a regional brand of Christenson Oil Company, located in Portland, Oregon. The company used a stylized twin-engine passenger aircraft in its branding and was advertised as having a 100% paraffin base and a 2,500-mile guarantee between oil change intervals.
The sign has red neon accents and white neon script and uses 120-volt circuitry. The round sign measures approximately 24″ in diameter and weighs around 10 pounds.
Texaco was founded in Beaumont, Texas, in 1902, and the red star was first used as a design element the following year. The green “T” was later incorporated into the logo. Texaco introduced Sky Chief gasoline in 1938 as a higher-octane fuel option.
