This 1964 Porsche 356C coupe is a non-running project that was built on July 31, 1963 and sold new through Competition Motors of Culver City, California. It was acquired by the seller in 2023 and was subsequently repainted in its factory shade of Ruby Red. The 1.6-liter flat-four engine block has been removed and accompanies the vehicle, while the four-speed manual transaxle remains in place. The car rides on 15″ steel wheels, and the interior, glass, trim, and various other components have been removed and are not included. This 356C coupe is now offered at no reserve with a copy of the Kardex and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
This Karmann-built body came finished from the factory in Ruby Red and was repainted following the completion of body work in 2025. The glass, bumpers, trim, and lighting have been removed and are not included.
The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Nexen tires. The car was factory equipped with disc brakes at each corner.
The interior has been stripped of its components. A video taken of the floors following sandblasting, but prior to rust repair, is provided in the gallery.
The steering wheel, gauges, radio, and climate controls are no longer present.
The removed 1.6-liter 616/15 flat-four engine block accompanies the vehicle.
Engine stamping *710018* is shown above, and a corresponding number is listed on the copy of the Kardex.
A four-speed manual transaxle remains in place, and a photo of stamping 70262 is viewable in the gallery.
The copy of the Kardex lists the factory colors and serial numbers along with a build date of July 31, 1963.
