This 2008 Ford Mustang FR500S is a track-only model designed by Ford Racing and Miller Motorsports of Grantsville, Utah, and reportedly obtained the most podium finishes in the Mustang Challenge Series over the three year period it was campaigned. Chassis #10 is finished in black with red stripes and sponsor decals, and power is provided by a 4.6-liter V8 linked to a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 18″ SVT wheels, Brembo brakes, adjustable suspension, stainless steel Borla long-tube headers linked to an X-pipe exhaust system, and an aerodynamics package along with a roll cage with door bars, a Sparco racing seat with a six-point harness, a fire suppression system, and a Sparco steering wheel mounted to a quick-release hub ahead of an AiM digital instrument cluster. Acquired by the current owner in 2010, this FR500S is now offered in Nevada with spare parts on a bill of sale.

Finished in black with red stripes and sponsor decals, the car features mesh front grilles, quad hood pins, and Miller Cup Mustang Challenge badging. The seller notes that damage repairs from racing have been performed around the body. Paint blemishes are displayed in the gallery.

The FR500S featured an aerodynamics package similar to that used on the contemporary FR500C Grand-Am cars, including a splitter up front, a wing and diffuser in the rear, and Lexan quarter and rear windows.

Black 18″ forged alloy wheels are mounted with 255/45 BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-piston, Brembo brake calipers fitted over 14″ slotted rotors up front, and vented rotors at the rear. The anti-lock braking system was calibrated for track use from the factory and the FR500S features two-way adjustable dampers with coil springs, camber/caster plates, and an adjustable anti-roll bar up front and a live-axle, Panhard rod, two-way adjustable dampers with coil-over springs, and an anti-roll bar out back.

The cockpit is equipped with a roll cage that includes door bars built to period SCCA, NASA, and Grand-Am specifications, as well as a Sparco Circuit driver seat and a Sparco Evo passenger seat. Additional equipment includes a HANS-compatible Sparco six-point driver harness, window nets, a fire suppression system, a Motorola radio, a Cool Shirt ice box, a master cutoff switch, and an engine-start button.

Mounted to a quick-release hub, the Sparco steering wheel frames an AiM MXL data acquisition digital display mounted ahead of a 145-mph speedometer and a 6k RPM redline tachometer.

The fuel-injected aluminum 4.6-liter V8 was dyno-tested and sealed by Roush Industries for installation in the FR500S and was factory rated at 325 horsepower. Factory equipment includes a Ford Performance high-capacity racing radiator and aluminum degas bottle, a Ford Racing 84mm cold air intake kit, Borla stainless steel long-tube exhaust headers, and an X-pipe.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a T6060 Tremec six-speed manual transmission, a heavy-duty clutch, and a 3.73:1 Ford Performance/Torsen limited-slip differential.

Parts accompanying the vehicle include a rear axle, a transmission, a sway bar, and two sets of wheels and tires.
The car does not have a title, as it is intended for track use only. It is being sold on a bill of sale.
