6.0-Liter Vortec-Powered 1967 International Harvester Scout 800 4×4

This 1967 International Harvester Scout 800 4×4 was refurbished and modified between 2023 and 2025 with work that involved refinishing the body in white with black stripes as well as installing a fuel-injected 6.0-liter Vortec V8 linked to a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Inside, front bucket seats, the rear bench, and the custom center console are trimmed in black and red vinyl, and a marine-style Clarion stereo unit is installed along with a Lokar shifter. The truck rides on a suspension lift, and additional modifications include a drop pitman arm, a steering stabilizer, a MagnaFlow muffler, front disc brakes, manually locking front hubs, and 17″ Method alloy wheels. This Scout 800 was purchased by the seller in 2025 and is now offered with service records and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished in white following metal repairs and modifications to the inner wheel wells for additional clearance. Equipment includes a removable Softopper soft top, black hood and rocker stripes, and fabricated steel bumpers with D-rings front and rear.

The truck rides on a lift kit with flipped rear springs and aftermarket front shackles, and the power steering system has a drop pitman arm and an aftermarket stabilizer. Black-finished 17″ Method wheels are wrapped in 305/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A white-letter tires, and a matching spare is mounted to the swing-away rear carrier. The power-assisted front discs and rear drums were overhauled in 2024.

The cabin was re-trimmed during the refurbishment and features low-back front seats and a rear bench trimmed in black and red vinyl along with coordinated door panels. The custom-fabricated center console is trimmed to match and houses a storage compartment, switches for the seat heaters, and a Clarion marine-specification stereo unit with Bluetooth connectivity that is linked to an amplifier and Polk Audio speakers.

The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a 160-mph GPS speedometer along with gauges for fuel level, voltage, water temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 211 miles have been added since the build was completed in 2025.

The frame was modified and custom motor mounts were fitted in order to install the 6.0-liter Vortec V8 in 2024. The saddle tanks were removed, and a single rear-mounted fuel tank was installed along with a filter, electric pump, and fuel lines. Additional equipment includes a custom air intake assembly and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and an NP208 dual-range transfer case. A Dana 44 rear axle houses a limited-slip rear differential, and the custom dual exhaust system has a MagnaFlow muffler.
