This 1964 Porsche 356C coupe was first registered by the late owner in 1965. It is powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in red over brown upholstery. The Karmann-built body left the factory finished in Bali Blue and was repainted red at some point. Features include a windshield washer system, an underside front tow ring, twin engine grilles, and body-color bumpers with bright guards.
The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 165-series Michelin XZX tires. The car was factory equipped with disc brakes at each corner.
The front bucket seats and rear jump seats are upholstered in brown, and interior appointments include a metallic brown painted dashboard, a cabin heater, lap belts, and an analog clock.
The three-spoke steering wheel lacks a horn button and frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 5,000-rpm redline as well as a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles.
The 1.6-liter 616/15 flat-four was factory rated at 75 horsepower and 90 lb-ft of torque. Engine stamping 711100 is shown in the gallery. Service in preparation for the sale involved cleaning the carburetors and inspecting the fuel lines.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Type 741 four-speed manual transaxle.
