This illuminated American “Torch & Oval” logo sign measures approximately 72″ wide by 62″ tall. Its translucent panel features red, white, and blue design elements and is illuminated by LED fixtures. Components replaced following the seller’s 2025 acquisition include some of the LED fixtures, portions of the aluminum enclosure, the power cord, and the on/off toggle switch. A mounting bracket is located on the back. This illuminated American sign is now offered at no reserve in Connecticut.
The sign displays a version of the “Torch & Oval” logo that was first introduced in the 1940s by Indiana Standard and incorporated elements from earlier Standard and Amoco logos. Other versions – including this piece – displayed “American” text in some areas of the country where the Standard name could not be used.
The piece features a translucent panel housed in a metal enclosure and measures approximately 72″ wide by 62″ tall and 6″ deep. It weighs about 50 pounds. Portions of the aluminum housing were replaced following the seller’s acquisition. Red LED fixtures behind the flame and upper portion of the sign were also added along with a replacement power cord, wiring, and an on/off toggle switch located on the side.
