383-Powered 1968 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup

This 1968 Chevrolet C10 Stepside pickup was purchased by the seller in 2021 and subsequently refurbished and modified with work that involved the installation of a 383ci stroker V8 topped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection and linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. The body was refinished in black and orange, and the bed features a wood floor, bedliner-coated top rails, and a wooden barrel concealing the custom fuel tank. The cab houses an aftermarket bench seat and door panels trimmed in black and orange leather, and an aftermarket air conditioning system is installed along with a Custom Autosound stereo, a tilting steering column, and Dolphin gauges. Additional modifications include a dual exhaust system with coated headers, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and 17″ smoothie-style wheels. This C10 pickup is now offered with a set of four 15″ polished wheels and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.

The stepside body was refinished in black and orange during the refurbishment under current ownership. Aftermarket headlights are installed, and replacement taillights have been mounted in the rear fenders. The bed features a wood floor with painted runners, and the bed rails and top of the tailgate have been coated in textured bedliner material. The bed-mounted barrel conceals a custom fuel tank. Scuffs on the roof and a scratch on the passenger-side fender and door are pictured in the gallery.

The truck rides on QA1 tubular front control arms and adjustable coilovers along with adjustable coilovers out back and QA1 anti-sway bars front and rear. The 17″ smoothie-style wheels are finished in black and wrapped in 245/65 Nexen Roadian HTX2 tires. The truck is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. A set of four polished Ultra 15″ wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra tires will accompany the truck.

The cab has been re-trimmed and customized using aftermarket seats and door panels trimmed in black and orange leather. Appointments include a center armrest and cupholders, a Custom Autosound stereo unit, and an aftermarket air conditioning system with a wood under-dash vent panel.

The aftermarket steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a polished instrument panel that houses a set of Dolphin gauges consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The seller notes the speedometer has not been calibrated, and total mileage is unknown.

The 383ci stroker V8 was installed during the build under current ownership and features an aluminum intake manifold and a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system. A serpentine accessory drive system is installed along with an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle. Coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe, Hooker Super Competition mufflers, and side outlets.

The VIN tag has been relocated from the driver’s door jamb.
