Battery anxiety is real when you’re working away from outlets all day. ASUS is addressing that with the Zenbook A14 and A16, two ultra-light laptops that promise 28+ hours of video playback on a single charge.
The Zenbook A14 weighs under 1kg (2.18 lbs) while packing a 70Wh battery and Snapdragon X2 Elite processors with 80 TOPS of NPU performance. The 14-inch OLED display hits 1920 x 1200 resolution with 600 nits HDR peak brightness. Despite the tiny footprint, ASUS fitted dual fans for thermal management and Wi-Fi 7 for fast connectivity.
The Ceraluminum chassis (magnesium-aluminum blend) keeps weight down without sacrificing durability. ASUS added smudge-free keycaps and an EasyLift hinge that tilts the keyboard at a comfortable typing angle. Two USB 4.0 ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm jack handle peripherals.
The Zenbook A16 steps up with a 16-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) OLED touchscreen running at 120Hz with 1100 nits peak brightness. It runs the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme clocked up to 5.0 GHz with 48GB of LPDDR5X RAM. At 1.2kg (2.87 lbs), it’s remarkably light for a 16-inch laptop.
Built for All-Day Mobility
Both models are Copilot+ PCs with full Windows 11 AI features. The Smart Gesture touchpad recognizes multi-finger commands, and both laptops include IR cameras for Windows Hello facial recognition. There are six built-in speakers in the A16 that deliver Dolby Atmos audio.
ASUS included an SD card reader in the A16 for photographers and video editors who need fast file transfers from cameras. The 70Wh battery in both models is charged via 100W USB-C (A14) or 130W USB-C (A16).
The Zenbook A14 starts at 24GB RAM with 512GB storage, while the A16 comes with 48GB RAM and 1TB storage. Both feature anti-scratch, anti-wear Ceraluminum construction and smudge-resistant finishes in Zabriskie Beige.
ASUS hasn’t announced pricing or availability yet, but expect these to launch alongside other CES 2026 laptops in early 2026.
