This 1973 Porsche 911T Targa was acquired by the current owner in 2022 and was refurbished and modified between 2023 and 2024. It has been repainted black and features steel fender flares, a 911S-style front bumper, and an RS-style rear bumper, while the interior was refreshed with black vinyl and fabric fixed-back seats, replacement carpets, and RS-style door panels. The 2.4-liter flat-six received a top-end overhaul, and the retrofitted dual Weber carburetors were also rebuilt. Additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transaxle, a removable roof panel, a stainless-steel Targa bar, 16″ Fuchs wheels, H4 headlights, stainless-steel headers, a Sport muffler, leather window pull straps, and a MOMO steering wheel. This 911T Targa is now offered in Oregon on dealer consignment with parts receipts and a California title.
Finished from the factory in Aubergine, the car was repainted black and fitted with steel fender flares under prior ownership and was refinished again in 2024. A 911S-style front bumper and fiberglass RS-style rear bumper were installed at that time, and additional work involved rebuilding the Targa top and replacing the decklid shocks, hood shocks, and rubber seals. Euro-style taillights and H4 headlights have been added.
The staggered-width 16″ Fuchs wheels were installed in preparation for the sale, and they were mounted with 205/50 front and 245/45 rear Advan A052 tires. The car has been fitted with 911S-specification disc brakes, which were rebuilt and fitted with replacement lines during the refurbishment. Bilstein rear shocks were also installed at that time, and the car is equipped with sway bars. Adjustable spring plates were installed in 2025.
The fixed-back bucket seats were reupholstered in black vinyl and cloth before being installed in 2024. RS-style door panels and a replacement dash pad, carpets, and leather window pull straps were also added at that time. The shifter bushings and horn were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The three-spoke MOMO steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 300 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter flat-six has been fitted with dual Weber carburetors in place of the Bosch fuel injection system. Work during the refurbishment is said to have involved a top-end rebuild, an overhaul of the carburetors, installation of MSD ignition and a PMO fuel pressure regulator, as well as replacement of the spark plugs and wires, filters, and various oil gaskets. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch, axles, and CV joints were replaced during the build, and QSC stainless-steel headers and a Sport muffler were installed.
The Porsche Production Specifications certificate lists the factory colors and optional equipment.
The lien is being paid off by the selling dealer. The title is currently in transit and there may be a delay in delivery.
